We weren't interested in following the natural norm and telling mythical tales about the ancient powers of herbs and essential oils. Nor were we about to start taking on the big boys who were pushing the boundaries of synthetic cosmetic science, developing products that may have started out as natural but ended up about as far away from nature as wood is from plastic.
The other thing we weren't going to do was test on animals or work with any laboratories that had animal testing facilities.
Our aromas had to be sublime and a world apart from the basic, heady and overbearing notes of essential oils found in most natural cosmetics. We set out to develop complex, sophisticated blends that would bring both therapeutic benefits and make Trilogy skincare delicious to use.
The texture and feel of our products also had to make a big departure from natural skin care of the past. We challenged our research team to develop silky-smooth creams, clear, luminous oil blends and body lotions that glided effortlessly onto the skin. Absorbing quickly, leaving no oily residues only soft, deeply moisturised skin.
By only working with natural ingredients and avoiding all synthetic film-formers, silicones and emulsifiers, we were asking our team for ground-breaking and innovative technology.
The first Trilogy range combined the best natural emollients (moisturising ingredients such as Evening Primrose and Rosehip Oil) with a unique new natural emulsifying system and essential oils blended in exquisite fractions by our French fragrance expert Yves - known in the trade as a 'Nose!'
We are immensely proud of this groundbreaking work and delighted that women around the world have endorsed our efforts by choosing Trilogy.
